About

My name is Sam (they/them), and I primarily write about television, including reviews, interviews, listicles, and opinion/feature pieces for Mediaversity and TV Fanatic. I previously wrote at Tell-Tale TV for two years. 

I mainly cover comedy shows and have a focus on diversity and representation on TV. This interest has influenced my research: I completed a Special Topics project in television studies on diversity and representation in sitcoms and received a grant to travel to Los Angeles to conduct research for it. I also have experience leading undergraduate-level lectures in television studies, supporting Professor Amelie Hastie in teaching her Television Possibilities course in Spring 2026. 

I also occasionally write concert reviews and music reviews for Eulalie Magazine. Additionally, I write poetry and other various forms of creative writing. 

In my free time, I love going to concerts, reading comic books, and of course, watching movies and television.
